We're often asked how long a person needs to train for triathlons.  That answer always depends on YOU!  

  • What's your fitness level? 
  • Have you ever trained for a triathlon before?  
  • Are you a raw beginner or someone more experienced?  

If you're already triathlon fit and have been training for a long time, these numbers may be different. This is a very general guideline and of course, there will be exceptions based on a number of factors.

Finish means simply cross the line. 

Finish feeling strong means finish feeling like you are in control of the race, not the other way around.  

Compete means finish competitively, perhaps winning an age group or a qualifying spot to another race.
